Who Is Affected by Sweden’s E-Invoicing Rules?
If you supply Swedish public bodies, you’re already in scope. Private sector mandates are voluntary for now but that’s changing.
In Scope:
- Suppliers to central government agencies (statliga myndigheter)
- Invoicing municipalities (kommuner)
- Suppliers to regional authorities (regioner)
- Voluntary B2B e-invoicing (strongly recommended)
- Intra-EU cross-border transactions (under ViDA)
Out of Scope:
- Private B2B transactions not yet mandatory
- B2C sales voluntary basis
- Micro-entrepreneurs below the VAT threshold
