EU Approves Spain’s Mandatory B2B E-Invoicing Plan
Mandatory B2B e-invoicing in Spain has advanced, with the European Commission approving the country’s draft legislation this month. This regulation aims to stimulate economic growth, address delayed payments, and resolve liquidity issues for businesses.
While awaiting final approval, Spain targets a launch date of July 1, 2025, with large businesses (turnover over €8 million) required to comply by then, and all other taxpayers by July 2026.
This development will significantly impact software providers, including ERP developers and manufacturers, who must ensure compliance with the new regulations.
