Smart Invoice Grace Period
The Smart Invoice System is a pivotal initiative aimed at bolstering revenue integrity and optimising service delivery within Zambia’s tax administration.
The electronic invoicing system, officially launched by Finance and National Planning Minister, Situmbeko Musokotwane, on March 19, 2024, became mandatory starting July 1, 2024.
The ZRA Commissioner General Dingani Banda, announced the grace period for Smart Invoice on-boarding which has been extended from the initial 1st July to 30th September 2024 and standard penalties would be enforced for non-compliance starting October 1, 2024.
