Key Dates and Requirements
🔘 January 1, 2025: All businesses must be able to receive EN-compliant electronic invoices.
🔘 January 1, 2027: Mandatory issuance of e-invoices for businesses with an annual turnover exceeding €800,000.
🔘 January 1, 2028: Mandatory issuance of e-invoices for all businesses, regardless of turnover.
The e-invoices must comply with the EN 16931 standard, ensuring interoperability across different systems. The formats accepted include XRechnung and ZUGFeRD, which are designed to meet the requirements of both B2B and B2G transactions.
