Serbia Unveils Major Update to National
Electronic Delivery Note System eOtpremnica

Belgrade – Serbia has rolled out a comprehensive upgrade to its national electronic delivery note system, eOtpremnica, marking a significant step forward in the country’s digital transformation efforts. The version 0.3.0 update, released on September 15, 2025, introduces enhanced features designed to improve regulatory compliance, user experience, and integration with global standards.

Major Features Transform Business Operations

The updated system brings substantial improvements to hazardous materials management. The enhanced hazardous goods section now features a three-column structure comprising Name, Description/Value, and Comment fields. This reorganization enables businesses to maintain more comprehensive records while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and improving internal documentation processes.

In response to evolving industry needs, the system now includes a new excise category specifically for “Fuel Derivatives.” The update introduces a density field for packaging types and harmonizes all existing excise categories in Cyrillic script, ensuring accurate classification and tracking of fuel products in accordance with current Serbian legislation.

Global Integration Capabilities Enhanced

A significant addition is the implementation of the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) field, supporting up to 14 digits for each product item. This optional feature enables Serbian businesses to adopt international product identification standards, facilitating seamless integration with global supply chain management systems and enhancing cross-border trade capabilities.

The system’s documentation capabilities have also been upgraded. PDF outputs now provide clear visibility of all additional product attributes with measurement units displayed in Cyrillic script. Item-level comments entered in receipts are now fully visible in PDF format, ensuring complete transparency in business documentation.

Advanced Filtering for Improved Efficiency

Users can now leverage an advanced filtering system based on issue dates for outbound delivery notes, inbound delivery notes, and receipts. The system defaults to displaying records from the previous month, with the flexibility to select custom date ranges up to one month, streamlining document management and retrieval processes.

The eOtpremnica 0.3.0 release represents a significant advancement in Serbia’s digital infrastructure, providing businesses with a more robust and user-friendly platform for managing electronic delivery and receipt processes. These enhancements not only strengthen compliance with both national and international regulations but also equip Serbian companies with sophisticated tools for accurate product identification, tracking, and reporting in an increasingly digital global marketplace.
