Romania Expands RO e-Transport Scope to
New High-Risk Goods

RO e-transport scope expanded. New products have been added to the scope of BRFR (high fiscal risk goods).

A draft order amending and supplementing on the determination of goods with a high fiscal risk transported by road and subject to monitoring by the RO e-Transport System was published.

At the same time, as a result of recent control activities carried out at the level of the General Anti-Counterfeiting Directorate, the financial risk was outlined for the following products: 

  • Raw or unmanufactured tobacco; tobacco debris, CN code 2401,
  • Other finished tobacco and finished tobacco substitutes; “homogenized” or “reconstituted” tobacco; tobacco extracts and essences CN code 2403,
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes CN codes: 2710 19 66, 2710 19 99, 2710 19 81, 2710 19 83, 2710 19 87 and 2707 99 99
  • Soap, organic surfactants, washing preparations, lubricating preparations, artificial waxes, prepared waxes, polishing or rubbing preparations, candles, and similar substances, modeling pastes, “dental waxes” and gypsum-based dental preparations falling under CN codes 3403 19 10 and 3403 19 80
  • 3814 00 90 Miscellaneous chemical products under CN code

It is also proposed to expand the scope of high tax risk goods to CN chapter 6309 ‘Other finished textile products; sets; worn clothing and worn textile products; rags’.
