Poland’s E-Invoicing Evolution: KSeF Enters Phase 2

The Polish Ministry of Finance has announced the commencement of the second stage of the National E-Invoicing System (KSeF) implementation. Following the initial rollout for large enterprises, the system is now expanding to include a broader range of taxpayers.

Key Implementation Milestones:

  • February 1, 2026: Mandatory for large companies with 2024 turnover exceeding PLN 200 million.
  • April 1, 2026 (Stage II): The mandate extends to all other VAT-registered businesses, including SMEs and micro-businesses.
  • January 1, 2027: Final integration for the smallest entities with monthly sales below PLN 10,000.

Support and Compliance:To support businesses during this transition, the Ministry confirmed that no penalties will be imposed for errors in KSeF usage throughout 2026. Free tools, such as the KSeF Taxpayer Application 2.0, are being provided to facilitate the issuance and receipt of structured invoices.
