Mexico Publishes Updated List of Registered
Non-Resident Digital Service Providers
The Mexican Tax Administration (SAT) has issued Official Letter No. 700-04-00-00-00-2025-089, published in the Official Gazette on November 21, 2025, which contains an updated list of non-resident digital service providers that have complied with Mexico’s registration requirements.
These requirements, generally applicable since June 1, 2020, mandate that non-resident service providers must register with the Federal Registry of Taxpayers, account for, and collect VAT (Value Added Tax) on services supplied to recipients in Mexico.
Key Updates:
- Total Count: As of October 31, 2025, the list includes 270 companies.
- Additions: New companies added to the list include Epidemic Sound AB, Patreon, INC., and Total Security Limited.
- Removals: Kst Data, INC. was removed from the list.
- Name Updates: The legal and/or commercial names of several companies have been updated while maintaining the same registry number (RFC).
Furthermore, individual users who provide goods, services, or accommodation in Mexico through digital intermediation services are subject to income tax and VAT, which is generally withheld and remitted by the intermediation service provider.
