Germany’s E-Invoicing Timeline Key Deadlines You Can’t Miss:
All German taxpayers must be able to receive e-invoices. Paper invoices remain valid if mutually agreed upon, but e-invoices will dominate.
All companies must be able to receive e-invoices.
Formats Allowed:
PaperEN 16931 (Rechnung and ZugFeRD >2x.Peppol BIS ›=v3 or other)Other formats (XMIL, EDIFACT, etc.)
Businesses with an annual turnover exceeding EUR 800,000 must issue e-invoices.
Mandatory for companies that
have annual turnover more than 800,000 €
