Turkey Updates E-Invoice System:
New Exemption Code Added

Turkey’s Revenue Administration announced the addition of a new exemption code to the e-Invoice system. In an announcement made on September 12, 2025, it was stated that new code 344 has been added to the “Exception Invoice Type” and the e-Invoice Package and UBL-TR Guide have been updated accordingly. Changes will take effect on October 1, 2025.

New Exemption Code Added to System

Code 344: The new code 344 has been included in the exemption codes under the “Exception Invoice Type” category. This addition increases the diversity of exception types in the system, offering more comprehensive invoicing options.

With the addition of the new code, the e-Invoice Package and UBL-TR (Code Lists) Guide have been updated. Users can access the current package and guide through the relevant links.

October 1, 2025 Effective Date

All updates will take effect from October 1, 2025. After this date, all businesses using e-invoicing will need to comply with the new exemption code and updated package requirements.

The update represents Turkey’s ongoing commitment to improving and expanding its electronic invoicing infrastructure while ensuring users have access to the most current system capabilities.
