The Danish Business Authority hereby releases OIOUBL schematron version 1.17.0.RC for OIOUBL 2.1 as Release Candidate

The schematron is expected to be released as a final release in mid-February 2026, provided that no significant objections are received before then. If the schematron is released as a final release as planned, the deadline for implementation of the schematron will be May 15, 2026.

Updates:

• Tax Code Alignment (F-LIB404): A new rule ensures that tax type codes at the line level match the document-level summary. Impact tests show this affects approximately 5% of current production data.
• Peppol Compatibility: The VAT code list has been expanded to version 1.4, adding codes B, M, L, K, O, and G from the UNCL5305 list to facilitate seamless Peppol invoice conversion.
• Currency Code Validation: Validation has been tightened to ensure all fields ending in “Amount” contain valid currency codes.

Timeline and Migration:

• Final Release: Expected mid-February 2026.
• Implementation Deadline: May 15, 2026.
• Note: Due to the significant impact on existing invoice data, the authority has provided an extended notice period for retailers and businesses to complete their testing.
